Apple Days

Every change of season I find myself shooting a bit more than usual. The last couple of weeks have been so busy, the light has been so awesome (think buttery autumn light, inspiring awe), and there are plenty of interesting happenings around town to shoot.


Last weekend's event was Apple Days. Volunteers pull apples from trees all along downtown, pile 'em up in the park and celebrate the next day by making apple cider and having a full on apple inspired fair.

This kind of event goes a long way to show how much food is around us that is potentially wasted.

I love personal weddings that leave you with a full understanding of who the celebrated couple is. Dani + Seth (along with the whole family) put on a wedding that was everything they are. The bride's mom made the cake, friends did the flowers and entertainment and their dogs carried the rings. You could not be there that day and not be involved somehow - they even had a 'lotto' to see which guest would officiate the ceremony.
